Cheshire cheese? CHESHIRE CHEESE!?
Outside, now *dons kicking boots*
Coronation st and emmerdale. Complete shite.
Sunday roasts. How do we make boiled veg and a lump of meat taste better? Pour meat juice mixed with water over it ๐
They are just so easy to get wrong. Soggy overcooked veg, tough meat, watery gravy, sloppy stuffing and non-burnt parsnips. Maybe I've been eating at the MiLs for too long.
I always end up smearing mustard or horseradish all over it.

That's just bad cooking, though.
I'd agree with ransos partially; pub sunday roasts. They are unfailingly crap and drowned in something akin to bitumen
I agree that a bad roast dinner is a travesty, but it doesn't have to be that way!
Gravy can make or break a roast...
Stephen Fry.
+1, the epitome of sanctimonious hypocritical luvviedom - I thought Peter Hitchens's put down of him was quite good "A stupid person's idea of what an intelligent person is like".

Most modern 'comedians', especially Michael Macintyre! I've had migraines that have been more entertaining.

God forbid that someone on TV should try and focus on the cerebral, rather than the lowest common denominator. How dare they ๐

Do you not like Peter Hitchens? I rather enjoy reading him occassionally, he has a wonderful line in invective, such as the one I quoted, and challenges orthodoxies - which keeps one on your toes. He also take the battering he gets with good grace. That said, I believe he is published in the Mail on Sunday.

I don't watch a lot of TV but do you honestly think he does? And if so, in which programme?

First, I was commenting on Stephen Fry who is pretty ubiquitous across many forms of media. Second, I have seen a few of the shows, which he appears in, and frankly they ain't cerebral - Jonathan Meades is cerebral - but I am not omniscient. Third, are you a second login for Jivewhatshisname - I think the 'do your own reserch' line is better.
I wholeheartedly support the NHS and the BBC. They must be defended from privatisation, lest they suffer the same fate as Royal Mail; under-valued and undersold to Tory chums.
