Does anyone know a release date for this yet?
I hear next month, but find nothing official to back that up.

keynote speech at the developer conference on the 8th june will probably announce it.

There are rumours that the new iPhone will NOT be announced on WWDC, due to snow leopard release. Lets hope they are wrong, because I cant wait to get one 🙂

Not really the new phone, so far it is speculation that a version 3 phone is about to be released, and no guarantee we'll get offered the free upgrade that original iPhone customers got when the 3G came out.
Really just the software update i'm interested in.
Wouldn't say no to new phone itself though if offered!
