iPhone app that works with a Polar HRM?

Hi all

I have a Polar HRM and watch. It syncs seamlessly with the Keiser exercise bike at the gym but I would like to get an App to further record my exercise - so far I have only found Polar's own App which gets dreadful reviews. Strava won't support it unfortunately but are there any apps that will?

Is it Bluetooth LE? Might be out of luck if it uses a dongle to connect to the phone, I bought a Wahoo BLE strap for £35 in an offer on Amazon, and that's faultless with all apps I've tried.
