I'm surprised the management haven't shared this thread on the singletrack fb feed yet 🙂

For those going completely (or almost completely) bald down there - or contemplating doing so - how hairy are your legs? Do you leave your legs hairy and so end up with the reverse triathlete effect of hairy legs and a bald bit in the middle? I'm not the most hirsute (no back hair), but have a normal hairy chest which extends down over my stomach, so would end up with a weird bald patch in between chest and legs. So where do you stop shaving - does the chest hair have to go too?

Deffo got to be done. Cycling with full hair around my arse and balls feels like everything gets a lot sweatier. Tend to clipper the main forest and shave the meat and veg. Hair removal cream for the crack every so often.

Reckon a wax would feel great after the initial pain. Hair removal cream works well but doesnt take the hair as short as a fresh razer. It ends up feeling like a day or two after shaving but without the Razer burn or itchiness. Not very good in properly dense areas though...

council - because thats what adults look like? I don't fancy prepubescent children and this fad for removing pubes is exactly that - its about power and making women both subservient and childlike . its a fashion fad and an unhealthy one driven by american porn

Done any exhaustive research to back that up, or just listened in on a few lunchtime conversations of 'The Sisterhood'?
All sounds a bit Daily Mail to me, You're not Sarah Vine using tjagain's login are you?
FWIW, I prefer girls to be pretty much free of body hair, and it's entirely aesthetic, plus when I used to be lucky enough to be involved in a relationship with regular sex, I found oral to be offputting when I kept gagging on hairs getting into my mouth, in fact getting any hair or bits of fibre in my mouth can make me retch.
And before anyone starts chucking around accusations of double-standards, I shave 'down there', have done for years, purely and simply because it's just cooler and more comfortable, no other reason whatever.
Never yet cut myself, well a couple of times on my neck, but that's all.

I still think it's a total waste of time, this constant effort to remove something that performs a function. I appreciate that some people are turned off by hair, but to some of us, spending excessive time on grooming is a turn-off.

What function does it perform vicky? The scientific community are divided on the purpose of pubic hair, many think it's just a hangover from our ancestoral past when we were completely covered in thicker hair...

I've considered the other opinions - sweat transportation, friction reduction etc - and they don't really match my experiences of before and after hair removal.

If its purpose was to reduce friction, why don't we have it between our fingers and toes? Or the back of our knees?

Since I had the snip and shaved my balls for the occasion, I've grown to like being trimmed down there. But that's two minutes with a trimmer for a short back and sides rather than a wax. No way I'd wax - sounds way too painful. From a cycling perspective it's definitely more comfy to be trimmed instead of having a thick forest that chafes a bit more.
Got a mate that tells a great story about his lass at the time wanting him to be more trimmed 'downstairs'. She persuaded him to use Veet. He mis-read the instructions and left in on too long 😳 😯 😳 😯
Took his skin weeks to recover. So avoid that too!

I remember cycling in my more hirsute youth, I don't want to go into too much detail, but the pedalling action had the effect of folding Little Council back on himself into the tangle where he'd become inextricably imprisoned in a knotted thatch of wiry hair...

Damn it, I've just gone into too much detail again...

Interestingly (tho not very) no other boys here have ever waxed, I've only skimmed the thread but am I the only one?

Lots of opinion though

Very hairy throwback here, got very paranoid about it as a lad and would avoid swimming, I'd keep my t-shirt on at the beach etc....

Started getting my back and shoulders waxed in my late 20s (which coincided nicely with gym results appearing) and never looked back re. female attention, now obviously some of that will be increased confidence but some of it is the look....muscular bloke, confident in own skin and proudly wearing hairy chest and legs seemed to bring out something primal in the ladies, similar to the way most blokes prefer the natural curves of women to the skeletal catwalk model shape.

To keep things from looking silly with a bare back, shoulders and arms i trim with scissors down below but shaving or waxing!?....no way, having the less sensitive bits done is bad enough!

Jesus Christ your search histories...

(I hope you had to search.)

Nothing to add on waxing. Waning on the other hand...

Until reading this thread I really hadn't appreciated how much of a tangled mess I'd amassed in my 49 yrs, after a ten minute stint with my nail scissors in my hotel room last night I woke this morning to an extra two inches I'd never seen , adding that to the hair hopefully not getting trapped between my roll of fat and my Lycra could be a win win, now I'm just going to see how long it takes Mrs S to notice !!
