A request for wisdom - the most recent related thread I can see dates to 2019:

Does anyone have positive/negative recommendations for insurance for holiday hire cars in France? I don't want to buy it from the rental company and get stung.

I've always bought with Questor. Never had to claim but they get good reviews!

Thanks for the responses, it's good to hear genuine testimonials as it can be hard to tell from the sites.
