Well, actually it blew the breaker silently.
Now it just says 'E', which I guess stands for 'stuffed'
15 years old.
Are they the sort of thing that is worth trying to get repaired!?
Just looking at the prices, amazing range of prices and Aeg, blimey, not cheap!
?Can you not just change the induction element below the glass? (Never had one, so no actual experience).
15 years isn't bad really for a high current electrical item.

I'd check the error code E for the appliance before buying a new one.
Error message E can indicate a communication issue between electronics, after flipping a breaker, disconnect appliance from power for at least 30 seconds, reconnect it and switch it back on.
