I had a glass mout Aerial before, and reception was not always that great.
Do you need an 'amplified' aerial? Or just a roof mounted one?

I bought an amplified roof antenna and have never regretted it.

I've got a DAB adaptor thingy that plugs into the AUX port on my car radio. At the same time I bought it, I got a proper roof mount aerial.
I didnt bother, I just use the stick on version supplied that fits to the windscreen. In fact it just sits on the dash, as ICBA to route to cables up the door pillar.
There are a few dead spots locally, but nothing that makes me want to spend a hour or 2 fitting the roof mount aerial.

In my old car I had a cheap DAB plug in, the aerial mounted on the top of the windscreen with a wee magnet going onto the interior of the car roof, worked brilliantly, even in really middle of nowhere places.

I had a DAB head unit in my Octavia with the included stick-on antenna, which was... OK, but there were large parts of Wiltshire from Devizes down to Salisbury with zero reception, and gaps elsewhere. I had a magnetic one fitted, just above the top of the rear hatch on the roof, and the difference was remarkable; the only drop-outs were of a second or two, and so infrequently that it was barely noticeable. I think it cost about £40, and well worth it for the difference it made.

When we listen to Radio Caroline in our car it's like playing pass the parcel with the music stopping all the time.
Could someone link to one of these aeriels?

I fitted this Eightwood aerial to my van. Works really well.

Spent a tenner on a lighter socket bluetooth plug-in that broadcasts on a configurable FM frequency - connect phone to plug-in, tune radio, job jobbed for DAB, Spotify, Sounds, etc etc.
