Blimey. Anyway, for those that might be interested, here’s the account of my first meeting with my new husband.

The final mag version had a little editing because when Chipps read the first draft he said it ‘sounds like you’re in love with Mr Freeride’. But - just to be clear, you lot - no carnal acts or anything were edited out! Nothing remotely like that happened, but I was pretty convinced that he was The Guy nonetheless. Is love at first sight a thing? Maybe.
Anyway, flowers are picked, dress is more or less uncreased, nails are unpainted because I don’t have the skills. Off to the registry office in an hour!
Thanks to the many of you who have provided encouraging words along the way. An ocean, a pandemic and an international travel ban haven’t always made things easy, and quite a few of you have said something helpful just when it was needed. Xx
