But the frog face **** has made himself exempt from the bush tucker trials.
Not exactly. Some of the physical stuff he's exempt from, because of long term issues from his plane crash but being locked in boxes and covered with stingy bitey things, or eating foul shite are all still fair game.
Oh, I've had an idea. Remember Big Brother's "bad" house?
Secretly fly Rigel to an entirely different island from the other contestants, drop him off and go "see ya." His rations are a crate of warm shandy, 200 B&H and no direct means of starting fire. I'd watch the shit out of that. You can have that one for free, ITV.
They're already getting good value for him, I normally wouldn't be able to tell you who was appearing on any series, but this is big news and everyone is talking about it.
No doubt everything he says or does will create many more articles and much more publicity too.
FU ITV.
I'm A Celebrity 2023: TV viewing figures fall by two million for opening show

TBH he's on a winner anyway £1.5 Million.....let that sink in.
Just the sort of pay you usual average normal person down the pub gets.
^^ Yep, true man of the people just trying to get by on a meager wage from his own TV show on GBN and the occasional 1.5£ bung from reality TV shows.
To heat or eat. The poor blighter.
I'm really mixed on this. The oxygen of publicity vs the disinfecting power of sunlight. Without a PR person there will he lose it and people see what he's actually like (don't we know already / will his support care?)
And £1.5M for a few days of minor discomfort and then voted off to deny him the limelight, or at least make him 'earn' it by eating every single testicle and anus on offer, being locked into every single coffin and covered with snakes, for as long as humanly possible.
^^ He has the Trump Factor. He could shoot someone and his supporters would still adore him.
Even knowing the pay he is getting for this, he'll still be seen as one of them, a common man as he hates the same people as they do.
That's all they need, a shared hatred.
He’s boring.
Oh Noes!
He's committed the one cardinal sin of being on reality telly, turning out to be dull... What a surprise 😮
TBH this is what our nation of morons deserve; Keep watching brainless shite and voting for little Hitlers? Don't be so shocked when the two 'cultural touchstones' converge and are predictably underwhelming...
Good, no challenge for him. Deprive him of coverage, vote him out. Sorted.
Fred for PM.
Despite clearly having a mid life crisis 😂
On the Farage thing, now he’s in I’m mixed. I don’t want to watch him or allow him a platform, but to vote him out now gets him 2.5 weeks in a luxury pap-free hotel in Australia, a holiday he of course hasn’t paid for. So keep him in at least to deny that.
Michael Palin one of our national treasures was asked on this morning's BBC breakfast, would he like to go into 'the jungle', his reply was "No, I'd have to eat Nigel Farage", this made me laugh a lot.
It's all part of his long term plan. Come across like a "reasonable" human being by being supportive to hysterical Z Listers, eat the occasional anus themed pizza, get himself into the Conservative Party, get up the leadership structure, do horrible Nazi shit.
Starts off like a bit of a laugh. Ends up dangerous.
Never watched I'm a Celebrity in my life before, is there a highlights programme where i can do nothing but watch Farage eat sh*te and not have to watch any of the rest of it?
Despite clearly having a mid life crisis
It’ll make him even more popular here.
What I hate is the way producers are willing to financially endorse a (at best) divisive, self-serving xenophobe just for the sake of a few viewing figures.
They seemingly put him on TV to give the public "a laugh" but don't care about the message that sends out.
Sod it. Might as well just put Tommy Robinson on 8 out of 10 cats and have done.

TBH without any interest in being a nazi and just riding what sells.
I doubt he has any convictions to anything other than the next grift.
Sod it. Might as well just put Tommy Robinson on 8 out of 10 cats and have done.
Probably being signed up for next year.
TBH i'm expecting Andrew Tate and Phillip Schofield to end up there in the next few years.
At least updates on this thread mean I don't have to watch it
I could be your father....
I’m going to sleep on that.
Can't be doing with Nutella.
Farage admits he's worked out that the challenges are 25% of airtime hence is disappointed not to be voted for it, Showing his true lizard slime ball shameless motivation for being there.
The producers should kick him back to the UK immediately.

Anthrax island.

That would be freakin hilarious!
I am casualy morbidly interested but I won't watch on general principal.
I'll watch by proxy on here and other forums....any good memes come out yet?
Approaching the end of page 2 and not a single mention of anyone else who's in the show this year.
And we're all wondering why they gave him a wedge? That's why. He's worth more to them in publicity than the rest of the "celebrities" combined.
@Cougar Grace Dent is one of the other celebrities. I'm sure there's others but for some reason I'm slightly obsessed by her.
I googled the list. I haven't heard of any of them aside from our Dominar Nigel XVI here. Reality TV types, soap stars, daytime TV presenters, people who are best known for being related to or shagged by someone famous, etc.
@DerekStarship will be on it next year because he once stood next to Roger Moore at the urinals.
He’s worth more to them in publicity

Sure? They are reporting the loss of over 3m viewers directly related to a Farage boycott. I’ve no idea how that works in TV revenues etc though….

Maybe it's like the scam emails with the deliberate spelling mistakes to sift out most people and leave them with only the gullible to deal with. If the Farage effect is you are left with only the absolute full on gullible dribblers watching you can tune your advertising accordingly to a particular 'base'.

Fred for PM
Has to be one of the nicest guys there is, even if he’s old enough to be Ella’s dad
Her name is Nella.
For some people reference to deceased love one is a very sensitive thing, as in the potential insinuation that you should do as your told because “I’m old enough to be your dad” . Now, she handled it badly and should have warned him / let him know she found it offensive before the snub I’d agree.

Remember - in general - the generation we are dealing with here, one of entitlement. She believes rightly or wrongly she’s able to act and be treated like the adult she is, and within her right to be offended and walk away / ignore Fred. Most of us -ahem- 51yo’s would likely have treated it differently. There’s a cultural and generational clash going on right there, which is going to take some major understanding to bridge especially under the stresses and emotions they are exposed to.
Her name is Nella.
Ah! My mistake well Apple is it keeps changing it to Ella.
Yes, I’m happy to accept it’s very sensitive. My wife still gets very upset over the loss of her dad who passed away 17 years ago next week. Nella will be trying to adjust to camp, being away from friends and those around her, plus she my have other issues we were not aware of.
Fred though meant no malice and tried to apologise in a very sensitive way. Explaining he meant no offence and it’s general term used by many.
Remember – in general – the generation we are dealing with here, one of entitlement
Yeah that’s bollocks.
Yeah that’s bollocks.

It isn’t, it’s real. This Gen have a lot of a growing up to do / experience / learning to realise - as we do - that life isn’t as easy as they think it is, and they aren’t entitled to whatever it they want. It’s been too easy for them to make / experience / fantasise over other peoples digital £millions. One day reality will hit / Pride comes before a fall etc…. Those of us who know educate our kids appropriately - Fred’s own daughter is a great example.
Fwiw for clarity I quite like Nella (I’ve watched her elsewhere) so this isn’t personal but she doesn’t know / thinks the abject dismissal of Fred wont bite her in the future as a TV presenter she is, whereas me and you would probably value the relationship ( and the shared experience of the group) with Fred for life and shared experience reasons not only career reasons and taken steps to mitigate our emotions

Not just this gen. I once saw a man who was easily 60+ try to fight a comedian because he made a joke about John Lennon's death. The man ripped open his jacket to reveal The Beatles t-shirt he was wearing and tried to rush the stage and attack the comedian before security huckled him out.

You’re talking of very few people and it’s people not the generation. There’s as many entitled in my generation as there’s who think they owed something. Seem to think that they owed from younger generation and demand respect instead of earning it.
I’ve never seen her before because she’s on YouTube so no idea what she is like, but she’s not a TV presenter just another ‘influencer’ from what I gather.
The issue is the very nature of “celebrity”.
Other than Farage I had no idea who any of these people were. In retrospect I recognise Grace Dent but couldn’t name her, and the others… not a clue.
My teenage kids knew not a single one of them.
As my lad said yesterday “Where are the comedians and sports stars?” Last year we had Chris Moyle, Jill Scott, Boy George, Mike Tindall etc. This year we have a divisive politician trying (and failing) to change his public persona and a load of people who you wouldn’t notice if you were stood behind them at the checkout in Tesco.
When Boy George, Katie Price or Nigel Benn had a Diva moment you got it. When someone who is famous for talking about famous people does you think “Who the hell are you?” .
