The BBC presenter Jeremy Vine has published video footage showing a driver threatening to knock him out and allegedly assaulting him while he was on his bicycle.Vine said the incident took place while he was commuting through Kensington, west London, on Friday. The Metropolitan police said it had no record of an incident being reported.

Unless she has some unusual clause in her insurance that makes tax a requirement then tax has no bearing on the insurance (but you have to have insurance in place to get taxed).

Whatever you think of Jeremy Vine, no cyclist deserves this sort of treatment from such a foul mouthed and unsavory individual. Fingers crossed the police will throw the book at her, attempted assault, no tax, no insurance. Hopefully a large ban coming her way.

So how did I legally drive my kit car to it's MOT this morning? Because, so long as it's insured, you can drive it (to a booked MOT). Now I've got the MOT I can tax it. I couldn't yesterday.

To those saying "but it it's Vine" on the basis of his radio show: given who they replace him with, the worst thing Vine has ever done is not be on the radio.
You are insured in liability to others btw but if you dont keep the vehicle road worthy the insurer could look to recover their costs from you( thats you house) and your own property( the car) wont be covered and you could also face legal charges( thats your job).
Not that thats got anything really to do with that case which is just about an obnoxious scumbag abusing and theatening another person.

Just perhaps she had had a row with her manager/lover/shop worker /or anyone else, or perhaps she was in a rush to get to an interview for a new job, or to retax her car, etc etc etc.
Who knows or really cares, but in the next few days she will feature in the tabloids telling her story, be on breakfast tv, telling her story, and probably be on the JV show telling her story and making up with Mr Vine, followed by being a celebrity on Big Brother, and possibly a star in a reasonably priced car on Top Gear, as is the media today.
