One of the benefits of being vagitarian

The drawbacks definitely outweigh knowing how to cook something I don't want to eat though.

I gorged myself silly yesterday and only put on a lb. Felt stupidly dizzy everytime I stood up fast.

Yeah I keep getting dizzy on standing quickly, never had this before. I have low Blood Pressure and am fitter than I have been for a while, dunno what's going on there, maybe dehydration ?

"vagitarian"

I like the sound of that!

Sadly, I'm hungry almost all the time 😀

The drawbacks definitely outweigh knowing how to cook something I don't want to eat though.

Roasted squash is lush. Celeriac chips... well, I think anyone would need a bit of convincing they're edible let alone a replacement for The Real Thing.

I'm going to try that flaxseed bread tonight. (maybe half measures though)

I will have to grind the flax myself, but I think I can do that with my mortar and pestle and some elbow grease.

Are Jerusalem artichokes in or out? They are a bit like potatoes in a way. Nutritional details here:

Anything else I can do with [gram flour]

Yes, you can make onion bhajis, which are really yummy unlike most of the alternatives. I made something quite like corn bread too, which was passable. Thick batter with eggs and baking powder.

Falafels are a winner, just replace the plain flour for gram flour and bake in the oven

Kinda where I was coming from.

Not having DD save my life.

But that he ought to perhaps just accept his belly.

I have learned to accept my belly long ago Solo - it's the likes of Jimmers who keep making fun of it 🙁

Didn't the wise Buddha once say:

"How can one mock, a wok, what isn't there?"

I don't think he said that. Now as well as mocking my weight issues, you're levelling fabrication at me. 😐

Thanks Yeti - I'm happy to have a laugh y'know, but the constant piss-taking by one forum member in particular - it just gets a bit wearing - tantamount to bullying. 🙁

*hug gratefully received*

You say sorry to DD.

And lets all play nice for while.

Yeah, I think it's about time we stood up to the bullies on here... chances are they're displacing the guilt about how they actually feel, relaying the taunts they receive in the real world to others on the forum.

Do you want to talk about it James?

Do you want to talk about it James?

Which James are you addressing ?.

Anyway.

Thread hi-Jack.

My old flight jacket is looking a bit tired and I'm amazed that it would seem I can't buy a replacement online.

I want a new schott flight jacket:
Type: CWU-R
Stock No: CWU-R-210-31

I still address him as Jimmers - my pet name for him - even if he's been naughty.

That's where you're going wrong Darcy. He'll never understand your cross or upset if you don't get a bit more authoritarian with him.

Jamie, Jimmers, James.

Hang on, I'm James, but not when Jamie is naughty.
Then he is me, and I'm not James, or not the same James.
But, I'm Solo, so that means....Eerrr, than means.
.
.
.
I don't know.

Who am I, again ?.

Oh !, its all too much for my tiny mind.

Flaxseed bread report

I tried iDaves recipe last night and it is a winner. Better than the gram flour pancakes and almost cakey. I had it with boiled eggs for tea and a bit more with scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Flax schmax. I tried a more watery gram soultion, cooked it for loads longer and it was actually nice. Made some more & added some chilli oil to make it pink and hot.

Agree re more watery solution on the flatbreads, think I messed up the quantities of flour on my current batch as they have come out like lorry tyres

😳

Having been eating the iDave way since March, I have suddenly started to have a bit of a problem with constipation. Anyone else?

Any solutions ?

I am eating flax seeds and keeping the vegetable quantities up but it doesn't seem to be sorting it out. Maybe my bean intake has dropped too much...

And yes, I am drinking lost of water

Oddjob, same here. I did mention it on the original thread. I think you/I need to up the water in take. I just usually drink a litre of smoothy on my day off and have a kebab 🙂
