I'm struggling for ideas.

Oh, it's for our dog. (Barney the cocker).

He likes food and treats a lot. So I'm thinking something along those lines, no toys. Ideas welcome.

It's a dog.

Get it a pram like my sister has for her dog. FFS.  Cavalier and she treats it like her kid (no kids). They take a pram out if they walk more than 3-4 miles with it - not that they do more than five themselves.

The other sister has a propper dog, a lab. It's a dog, does dog stuff.

Mine had her 1st birthday last wednesday, she got a new ball, a deer antler chew, a fluffy squeaker ball, a cupcake soft toy and various treats

And a massive oestrich bone.

She had lots of fun opening the presents too.

She is spoiled rotten.

Have you considered taking a trip to a nice pub or restaurant that serves tasty food and welcomes dogs?

Lolz at @debaser.

We took our chap (6 year old cockerpoo) to a pub that also does doggy dinners for his birthday this year 🙈. He had chicken, rice, vegetables and gravy.

Nothing, they dont know and my dog gets treated like it's birthday every single day with big walks and a lunchtime snack of something dead as well as his kong before bed.

Make dawg a doggie birthday cake

https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/141949/doggie-birthday-cake/

Ours gets a cake every year (the kids make it, not me – I can't be bothered with that stuff because, as said above, it's a dog).

I'm with debaser, there is nothing my dog likes more than seeing me happy (and a few scraps from the barmaids who always bring her something from the kitchen, specially cooked, no salt....)

Hang on is this a human year? So he's actually 7.

In which case a Liverpool tracksuit with a king Kenny number 7 on the back

An investment portfolio. It will give him the best start in life and mean he may be able to go to Uni or put a deposit down on his first kennel.

I was going to suggest several empty boxes, ‘cos babies will end up spending hours ignoring the contents and just play with the boxes, was disappointed to find it’s for a dog!
In that case, a pound of frozen sausages… 🤪

Hammer frozen sausages into your own lawn? He'll love that.

a deer antler chew

Got one of those for my dog for Christmas and she completely ignores it. Expensive, too.
