Remember we're dealing with the unknown here. It may come back in three months time. It might be three years. Or maybe never. There simply isn't any way of knowing yet.

But if it does, I'll be waiting. It'd better bring an army with it.

"This hasn't happened before. I've seen a great many things as a doctor that science simply cannot explain. You may well be one of those things. Stay prepared, but go and live your life - you've worked hard for it"

That has got to be the nicest paragraph I have ever seen posted on STW.

Mark you are a freak!!! In the nicest possible way of course. You may have had support here and elsewhere but you are still a freak.

It might come back, might not. That doesn't stop all the days of it gone being pretty special.
Great news. Brilliant.

Truly inspirational, everytime I see this thread has an update I'm hesitant in checking in.

Glad my worst fears have never materialised.

So, you are the only person to have beat this, puts Olympic champions, TDF winners etc to shame ๐Ÿ˜€

Great news, as per others I have followed your journey on and off over the last couple years. I do have an important question though:

"I will however be having a reverse 'stag-do' when I'm better next year; probably in Yorkshire, definitely with all of you, and proudly displaying scars on a body that you all helped to save. I give you my word"

Did the above session happen? If not count me in for a pint

Amazing news mate, remember crying early on in this thread and almost doing so again.
Had some bad news last week and so great to hear something positive, especially on here.
Go hard or go home, you appear to have done both.

And now I really don't know what to say. Nothing adequate comes to mind certainly!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Mark, just effing well done mate. That's shit-hot news. I raise a glass ( well plastic mug) of beer to your good health sir!

Excellent news bullheart. Really an amazing outcome. It could be that you have some sort of immune reaction to your mets? It's isn't unknown in certain sarcoma's (eg. stage IV neurobalastoma). I worked for 7 year in sarcoma research at RM/ICR Sutton - there is plenty we still don't know unfortunately.

Splendiferous news, cheered me no end.

I'd suggest that you are indeed tougher than Snake Plissken, or even Donovan from 'V'...

Just don't let the US military hear about your antics else you'd be coerced into sorting out them Iranians single handedly.

Well I'm impressed!

That's one of those real proper medical miracle stories which to be fair are (or would be) life-rafts for those facing terminal illness or disability.

Like the Hungarian strongman who broke his neck and refused to take it sitting down, so to speak.. and recovered.

Channel 4 made a programme about him, they'd make one about you too I'm sure ๐Ÿ™‚

It could be that you have some sort of immune reaction to your mets?

Hmm.. fascinating thing the immune system innit?
