Does anyone else find this site canes the battery on their mobile? Other sites are fine, but on here I lose like 5% charge per minute, and the phone gets hot! iPhone SE. Just me?
Same here. My local newspaper website which is an ad infested click bait ridden nightmare loads faster than STW too.
I'm just puzzled about what this ad is trying to sell me and how did they know I was interested?
It's easy to detect advlockers and promt users to whitelist (several other bike sites do that already) but that isn't really the problem.
If people want to bang on about the policy then they need to work out how to balance advertising and user experience.

Yes my iPhone 6s suffers this - used at home on WiFi. It’s the only site I’ve ever used that does this. None of the other site issues worry me.

I'm able to post things instantly ..even with my limited ability I can post pics as for ads and everything else that seems to bug other folks ..couldn't give one !
If you provide a service its the "whingers" you need to listen to, not those who dont "whinge". This is especially important when the users provide the actual content of the service.

I hardly ever use my phone, only my iPad, and I’ve never had battery issues on either of the pads I’ve had. On the odd occasions I’ve used my phone, a 6+, I can’t say that I’ve noticed it getting warm or the battery draining.
To be honest the forum and website failings are nothing to what seems like a complete cluster f&£k of subscription management. Last two copies of the magazine I have had to chase through and get ‘resent’ they seem to ignore my request to look into why since my resubscription magazines are no longer being sent. Just get ignored. It’s a complete shambles

Our spats remained dignified and it would be boring if people agreed on everything, at least we agreed on unicycling.
Don't remind me - I'd forgotten we ever had one! Though unlike hod you do at least have the ability to be friendly and pleasant, not something I've ever noticed in one of hod's posts.
