Uranus is there too but much smaller/dimmer.

I think you can see the moons of Jupiter through binos in the right conditions (might be overwhelmed by the light form the moon just now though)
I use the Planets app, which is good. For the pc, [url] http://www.stellarium.org/ [/url] is good
Checked Starwalk several nights ago, and 'tis indeed Jupiter and Uranus close together, which has happened several times this year, making a very bright object indeed.
moon is super bright tonight, just got in from a road ride and i dont think i needed lights

Jupiter's moons are easy to see with the cheapest of cheap teles.
Top tip for SkySafari app by the way:
If you give the phone a shake it activates the compass and gyros, so you can then just point it at the stars you are trying to identify.
