so is there a proper name for a silent letter at the start of a word, specificaly a k?

If it was a 'k' as in knight, it could be considered a endocentric digraph, or simply an empty letter.

Empty letter answers the question.
Endocentric diagraph and a quick search on google then wikipedia has provided enough info the joke I was writting, with a slight change from a silent letter to a double letter.
