So if a person is on the road, completely visible, I can just drive into them with no fault?

Works in Carmageddon 😀

Dude (with massive headphones)  stepped out in fromt of me on that road a few weeks ago. I screamed, slammed brakes on, skidded and the only reason i avoided him was because he saw me at the last secomd and stepped back out of the cycle path.

Generally once a week somebody steps out into a cycle path on me. I tend to ring my bell as a pre-emptive strike to avoid a collison these days .

Still beats sitting in a car or bus everyday 😃.

Looks like it might be gone from their facebook page too. They do seem to like the sensationalist helmet cam footage....

You could try reading the other half of my post.

Depending on the time of day, that narrow section of kirkstall road (from The Tannery down to past Cardigan Fields) I would reckon almost every day I have to sing my bell to let someone crossing that I’m there.

Unless that guy has never cycled along there before, he’s a complete tool for not being able to avoid that collision. I’m always hyper aware on that section. Even more if the traffic is slow or stopped and people cross between vehicles

My point is that the quoted statement is meaningless in that context.

There is no context because you removed it.

A car pulling out of a side road into traffic doesn't have priority either.  By your logic: So if a car pulls out, completely visible, I can just drive into them with no fault?

Missed the video, but read the article. Confused as to why the cyclist found it relevant to point out they were type 1 diabetic.

Awww couldn’t see it 🙁

im not sure these vids actually serve Any purpose thou.

Always seems to turn into a random discussion over right and wrong of every possible point with no intrinsic value.

I've not said anything to infer that from!

My point is that the first bit of your original post is corretc and it's not worth saying anything more on the matter.

I reckon he was probably looking back at the first person he punishment passed.

Not sure about looking back, but I think he was certainly focused on the first one until he'd passed, and only then does he notice the second one.

Blame aside, I think it reinforces my theory that you're most at risk on a bike when you're somewhere that a car can't be.

I'd love to hear more about how you arrived at this theory of yours that an absence of cars increases the risks of cycling.  .

No, it's true; I once got clothes-lined by someone test riding the BMXs around tesco.
