Usually find them cheaper and tell them, and they will reduce the price, or i dont buy them from them.

Howdens account holder.

thanks,

I'm going through a good local builder that already gets a good discount, so I think I'll get them elsewhere.

mudpup, that place is more expensive than most other places I've looked, by about 5-10% - even when selecting multiple items for a bigger discount.

We did the whole new kitchen thing a couple of years ago, and so far very pleased with our Howdens kitchen.

We looked at getting our appliances from them. Our builder and Howdens tried to pursuade us they were cheap, but when we did a bit of internet shopping they couldnt get near for anything.

We ended up going to Boots online for the majority of our appliances and probably got about £200 in Boots points as well. We also found Boots aftersales to be very good, they actually phoned us just before manufacturers 1 year warranaties were up (I thought to try and sell us extended warranties) but it was just a call to remind us the warranty was nearly up and if we had any issues Boots would resolve them for us, which they did with a minor seal problem on the dishwasher!

ta all, but none of these places beat appliances direct or appliances online for price, and AD also do 4% quidoc - which adds up to about 100 quid.

chriswilk - you need to call them. Get a total best price for all the appliances you need and phone them. Dont just do the shopping basket thing. I would have had to buy the things i needed (we were very specific with what we wanted) from about 4 different places to get the best prices. Benk got the lot for the same combined price in one single delivery.

Our Howden kitchen is being finished today. We were advised by a mate who works for Howdens to get electrical appliances elsewhere. AppliancesOnline gave us the best deal on hob and oven and Redhill Appliences for the cooker hood.

AppiancesOnline is where I got our Bosch dishwasher from, delivered next day bang on the specified time too. Was the cheapest place by far.

Howdens actually work on margin and dont really care what the price of an item says on the invoice, appliances are lower margin items so they are less likely to fight to keep them on the invoice (ex howdens kitchens designer)
