Warm enough for most things. Used mine in Norway, Dartmoor and welsh winters and in the sopping wet too. Keep in mind the warmth comes from heft/weight, not loft like a premium down bag. There pretty robust too, what use you got in mind?

Referred to as 'bouncing bombs' at work. They're massive. I've never been anywhere cold enough to get any use out of mine.

Make sure it IS an arctic bag, there are bags that look the same. I have a looky likely bag with no mention of arctic on the label. It was issued to me when on ops in Turkey covering the Iraqi Northern no fly zone.

Another Norway here. Dropped to about minus 16 in the tent and it was a little cold. I didn't have my warm kit on and since everything was frozen or freezing inside the tent I had to grin and bear it. A hot wet in the morning never felt so good.

Another Norway here. 3 winters and my only complaint was its big and takes up a lot if Bergen space but worth it. Make sure you get the right size. I'm 6ft and before I got out I exchanged it. Store man **** gave me a small.

Great bags if you aren't carrying them far but probably too warm for the UK unless its the Cairngorms in February!

I'd say they're good but very heavy. If you're car camping prob less of a problem than carrying them in your pack. Have used em on bivys in the peaks in winter, was hot in the bag when it was -8 outside so they definitely do the job. There are less bulky options available from snug pack etc, I thnk a lot of forces people buy these due to being lighter when you don't need full arctic gear.
