I was very surprised by this industry statistic..

The firm said studies show that the average number of times men shave per month has fallen from 3.7 to 3.2 over the last decade.

I know hipster beards are popular but they aren't a big chunk of the population, so I naively expected most men would shave every day. Obviously not....

I shave every working day. At weekends I shave on days that I'm doing something smart (going to a wedding for example). When left to my own devices (holidays) I shave every four days as it starts to itch if I leave it longer than that.

A bread trim whenever it starts to look scruffy

Previously, daily or every other day. It was a balancing act between scruffy stubble and razor burn.

Now, not shaved since December (and that was a bad decision, how do you beard-less people cope with cycling in winter).

Thinking I might go back to a #6 after SSUK as it's becoming high maintenance.

Depends when the next important business meeting is, or when the stubble starts to itch like mad, whichever is the sooner.

Once in the last eight years and immediately regretted it. Trim the neck and tidy the beard regularly though.

My dad has only shaved twice in 50 years.

The first time he slipped with the trimmers and had to shave his 20 year beard off. My mum was working nightshift and when she came home in the morning she screamed the place down when she saw a strange beardless man sleeping in her bed.

The second time, I saw a guy I didn't recognise driving my mums car and phoned her in case it had been stolen....."That's your Dad, son"

Once or twice a week depending how scruffy I'm looking or if I'm attending any meetings where I'm not suppose to look scruffy at.

Once or twice a week depending on how lazy I feel.

I don't work in a formal business and nobody really cares about such things.

every other day. Maybe every third if the third happens to fall on the weekend, like currently (I shaved yesterday morning, didn't this morning, and probably won't tomorrow, at least not until after I've been out riding - sweaty face on irritated skin)

I just use clippers once a week, back to .4mm or whatever bollox is said on the box. Do tidy the top edges up if going out with a razor.

It's an average. Gawd knows how they studied it. Sales of razors?

I shave daily, except the days I don't.

Once every 7-10 days but just with clippers. The last time I was clean shaven was my first day of work in my current job, 2.5 years ago.

I shaved every day / every other day for about 10 years (since 14) and it was wrecking my face / neck so I stopped.

Not for about 15 years. Once every two weeks with trimmer head and beard usually same length. Easy life.

I use clippers with no guard, but I'm lazy so can leave it a good few weeks before shaving again. In winter I tend to get more beardy.

I have a proper wet shave about twice a year maybe.

I hate wet shaving.

Shave?

Does run a number one over the chin count?

If so, twice a week.

Days of being clean shaven have long since left my building.

Once a month, outsourced to my local Turkish barbers.

Haircut, shave and my ears set alight for €20.

Twice a day in basic.

Now every two days. So by my rough maths 15 times a month.

Shaving 3 times a month I'd save a fortune in razors

A couple of time a month or when I start looking like tramp.

Winter time I normally stop at the start of Dec and might shave sometime in the new year I work outdoors and it keeps me warm.

I shave on Sunday night and Tuesday night. Look a bit unshaven on Tuesday and look a bit more unshaven on Friday but only means shaving twice a week. I am hairy and grow a beard quickly so really should shave every day but I get away with it.

When my tache starts getting in the way when eating, I'll get the clippers out. Haven't had a wet shave for a couple of years, I look about 12 when I do!

Full shave? Probably once every couple of years. Chop my beard off a couple of times a year with a trimmer on lowest setting. Legs get done every week.
