We pay for the British Gas boiler cover which includes a service. About £12 a month. Started paying when it fell out of warranty.

It's a great deal of cash but they will repair/cover parts costs if it fails.

EDIT: Some great riding your way. A lad I know took us for a spin around Bingley. Twas epic!

Cheers Sarnie. The boiler is covered for failure as long as it's serviced which I am responsible for.

Been quoted £40 but the lad is pratting me about.

Where did you ride? Some decent stuff out Shibden/St Ives way amongst others.

When it was under warranty we paid the installer £60 for a service but still a little unsure what they did (other than drink tea and eat my biscuits).

As for where, not a clue. It felt blooming remote/on top of moors.

Besides abusing your hospitality I think they just Hoover out the fan and check it over.

I want it to maintain the warranty than owt else as if works sound.

Ogden/Oxenhope loop is a decent XC route in the drier months, you should try that if you end up this way again.

So £40 was too good to be true...
