...Before you called work and told them you're not coming in?

There is nowhere more sheltered that would afford enough of a view to still catch it. It's not the torso that's suffering but thanks for the sympathy guys.

I wouldn't wait long, no more than an hour and a half. Then I'd get a taxi.

How far is it to walk? Thats what I would do. Just walk along the route unles there are any obvious shortcuts so that when the bus does come you can run for the next stop.

No idea what the temp was at my bus stop this morning but it bloody felt like -13. It's like living in Russia or something.

On the plus side Organic, you got to work at roughly the same time, you saved some money, you did some exercise and you didn't have to sit in a confined space surrounded by people coughing and sneezing.
Easy for me to say though... Personally I hate buses and consider myself fortunate that I can cycle/walk to work (only 2.5 miles).

Phone the bus depot.
Our drivers should always phone the depot if they have to drop a trip.
Somebody in the traffic office should be able to tell you how late the bus is.

What a fun day. Still not sure I've defrosted yet. In the end, I waited just over an hour for a ten minute service. In that time, I saw two buses go past that were so full, they wouldn't take any more. No updates on the web site and the phone was constantly engaged. I don't know why they can't link the bus position to the website as all the buses carry gps for the swipe card payment system.

Huh! Bad break, you should have just gone there in the first place!
