12 years, but 4 different roles - now part time to pursue own business interests with the security of a baseline salary 🙂

8 years here, still mostly enjoy it, just the stupid office politics bit that lets it down

Just clicked over to 16 years,I employ 2 of my best mates so its not too bad as work goes, still worry about becoming institutionalised though.

18 years for me. All of them shift work. Finding it harder and harder though. When on nights (10pm-6am or 6pm-6am) if I get 4-5 hrs sleep during the day I've done well 🙁

26 years. Don't think I'll ever change TBH; I would never find another job as good with as much freedom.

I started work on the 3rd September 1973 (42 years this September) and I've still got a few more years before I can retire. 🙁

Blimey there are some long serving individuals in here. I can't imagine 10+ years at one place never mind 30+. That's commitment! Never managed more than 5 years before getting really bored, or the firm probably feeling glad I was going somewhere else 😉 Had three goes at my own company (or 2nd/3rd guy in), before deciding - like Stoner - the only viable approach was to just go freelance/mercenary and never hire anyone again.

10 years in current role/employer on Feb 14th. Used to be a fantastic job, with brilliant work life balance when kids were young. Legislation changes and managerial ass covering have removed much of the job satisfaction, and now the kids are older the lack of prospects is suffocating.

At least I have a job to moan about!

13 years, stuck in a rut and not much chance of changing employer in current industry
Would need to start from scratch again if I moved industry.
😯

3.5 years. Most I have ever done is 4 years at one place. Can't really see myself getting passed 4.5 years (contract ends then) with current employer due to lack of job satisfaction and prospects.

5 years is the very longest I've stayed with one employer. Career progression would be impossible otherwise.

Just coming up to two years. Been a fab journey but the boss is a right cowbag and only pays me minimum wage!!

(okay, so it's my own company...)

25 and a bit gone, 4 and a bit to go.... Can't wait to retire while still young enough (52) to enjoy it.

About ten years too long as its been downhill since then and with an extra eight years more than planned to do thanks to the govt 🙁

17.5 years here.

Now slightly stuck as I negotiated a package to move to the opposite end of the country and work from home 3 days a week, which has it's moments of pure brilliance, but also some truly tedious times. To get a job locally would involve pretty much starting from scratch along with a 30%-50% paycut, so I guess I'm staying where I am!

8 years this month just popped up on LinkedIn.

Although as a I'm consultant I've spent less than a month in the actual office in all that time.

Feeling old having recently passed the 30 year mark.

Public/civil service so no gifts to mark any milestone as it's public money!

20 years. I've changed jobs three times so far (within a big multi-national). Made Director 5 yrs ago, which is nice but the feet are itching again. Time for a change.

8 years, 2 months..
Still quite enjoy it, and not looking for anything else at the moment.

A mate of mine (who works in manufacturing) just had a guy retire on the 50th anniversary of him starting at the company as a 15-year old school leaver.
He worked in the same couple of buildings, on the same site his whole working life.
