The sliding side door of my van gets frozen during heavy frost & it is impossible to open it without half an hour of constant trying to free it. Someone told me to put Vaseline on the seals to prevent this, I have yet to try it as I don't have any, will it work or are there any other tips to try?

try talc powder on the seals.
