They're quite similar in many ways, but in other ways, quite different.
Both members of the nutstacean family.
Question of the week, made me smile.
So for starters, quite similar in shape. Very different in texture.
It's considerably more difficult, when exercising, to turn fat into pistachios.
You can only eat pistachios when there's not an 'r' in the month, right?
I had the same thought this morning, but about the hazelnut and the winkle.
Vegans won't touch one of them,forget which.
I'm more beguiled by the fact that peanuts are part of the pea family.Ever heard of anyone allergic to peas?
Pistachios and mussels are like twins, but which is the evil one?
I always throw away unopened pistachios once they're cooked...

Can't link to the Stan and Ollie sketch in the Ice Cream Parlour, ('Got any mustachio?)' but it's a cracker.
Fairly close I reckon. Humans share 70% of their DNA with sea sponges and 50% with bananas. I extrapolate therefore that sea sponges and bananas are fairly closely related, which brings me to the conclusion that pistachios and mussels must also probably be closely related too.
