After Soundflower but all kinds of scary stuff comes up when I look at it online.
"Download this, this makes stuff faster, this really is totally safe."
I can't see why someone would invent something ,give it away on the net and there not be some sort of catch.
Am I just being paranoid?

ISTR that that software was open-sourced by the developer, Rogue Amoeba. Their current product, [url= https://rogueamoeba.com/soundsource/ ]SoundSource[/url] may be worth trying. Only $10 if it works for your needs and you want a licence.
