least there's no beer bottle shortage this year, cos people weren't taking them back quick enough to get the deposits back.

but then I think there was a footy world cup or something at the same time as a heatwave around this time last year

supermarket was pretty well stocked last night, until I came along, so made sure they had some spare shelf space for more beer.

only 37C the liars... was sposed to be 41. "cooler" today.

Just touched 30C at 10.00am in Canazei. Going to be a warm day for those practicing.

Reached 51 in the sun in the Black Forest yesterday (42 in the van). Still 30 degrees in the van at 11 last night.Early morning bike rides and in the pool all day is the answer.

A nice sunny morning in Glasgow. A very pleasant 21C. But I'm heading to Aberdeen so I've packed my thermals just in case

That 37 above is Odenwald (so just a smidge further north than the Black Forest)
Sunday's meant to be another warm one too.

Saw a Youtube last night of a Canazei EWS course stage, and it looked like there were still straggling leftover patches of snow. Not sure when it was actually filmed though, even if it was only posted in the last day or so.
Looks so strange seeing the place you ski every winter in its summer clothing.

It was 22 degrees when i left my house last night, 2 hours later as I was heading to Taxal Edge it was 9 degrees, the fog was rolling in and I had to make a dash back to the lowlands (where it was a nice summers evening)

It's been mid 20s here in Berkshire most of the week the trouble is that the preceding weeks rain has made it quite humid with bumper crops of midges in certain places...
we're forecast 30*C for Saturday at the minute.

personally I like hot weather...

Sod's law, I slept in late until a silly ~0900 this morning, after my early 0630 start at work yesterday... So no early morning ride before mad dogs and Englishmen hours!

Briefly popped out at lunch, it's certainly warm in SO18, but the stiff north easterly breeze was really helping to take the edge off things.

Lovely through-flow of air from the front to the back with all the flat windows open, as the front faces east and my man cave is at the back.

However, if I was to pop out to around Warnford and Butser Hill, that lovely breeze will be a headwind pretty much the whole way out there and up many of the cat4 hills.

... Trying to decide whether to pop out now for ~2 hours, before the local rush hour traffic hits near Moorgreen hospital, or try and pop out when it's cooler after dinner. But then I really want to try and do an early morning ~4 hour ride tomorrow...

Just about reached 17c this week on the North Norfolk Coast! Stiff northerly breeze and cloudy skies has made it feel more like autumn than June. Forecast tomorrow is cloudy & a max of 15c. Oh! what joy.

I am ignoring any person or organisation that claims to be able to predict or forecast weather.

Sat in the garden drinking an ice cold birra straight from the man cave beer pump, whilst playing ball with the dog. He has no self control and will "go" till he literally flops on the grass. Have him well trained though as he returns the ball directly to the tennis racket every time which then requires zero effort from me.
Official (proper I might add) garden thermometer reads 21c in the shade.
Beautiful evening, too warm for pedals!

My mate is coping by spending this evening at a Fields of the Nephilim gig.

That’s the ideal way to spend a hot summers night.... in a room full of sweaty goths

Every day for the past seven days, the weather here has been mostly cool, cloudy and windy, while the forecast for the day after tomorrow has been Sunny & 25°C. Can I have a refund?

A pretty solid 21c at Innerleithen today. *Almost* too hot for that long climb, but actually pretty nice overall.

Went to Roslin Glen on the way home with my way blow up dinghy and ended up swimming in a nice deep pool which was pretty refreshing.

Temps going to increase a couple of degrees over next few days so might go out in the blow up boat a bit more.

Lovely weather on Longdendale Trail/Northern Horse Route. Required a pint at the end, purely for cooling down purposes.

Very windy with a beastly Easterly here on the Sarf Downs, never got above 22C today so resorted to building bike in the conservatory to show solidarity (I did have the vents open, I'm not fully mad).

Aberdeen. Freezing as*. Shirt, jumper and jacket to work today. Long sleeve shirt when out for a run tonight.

*I live in Perth, WA. 40 degrees plus is pretty standard for a week or two a year. We're geared up for it though. Winter temps = Aberdeen summer temps, but more sun / less rain.

31 here in Kent, just had a 5 mile pootle on the bike with my mother, along the river. It's cooler there than in the back garden!

Back down to 25 tomorrow so will go out for a proper ride.

Felt too hot to ride. Normally takes me a few days to acclimatise to anything over 25. These sorts of temperatures always aggravate my asthma a bit too.

Luckily I had a new bike to build up/wreck...

Went for a short 15 mile spin on the MTB after lunch, stopped off at the pub for a pint of Farmers Blonde to top up essential fluid levels. Got home and jumped it the new stupid large paddling pool I got this morning and topped up fluids with some of Aldi's finest lagers with some tunes on in the garden.

Need to think about dinner now.

Spitting with rain in East Lance, warm though. Took the lad out for a hilly 6 mile ride in the mid day sun, then spent the rest of the afternoon repairing a puncture I'd picked up and sorting out the oil in the forks as it was all in the lower again.

So I don't know how official "official" has to be, but on a proper thermometer kept in the shade, it's been 32.5 degrees celcius today in my garden. And genuinely, at the time when I looked it was, to coin a proper scientific quote "****ing hot"!!!

In central Germany here, got to 38 degrees on Wednesday, predicted to be 39 tomorrow (but predicted to feel like 46).

I have been getting up early in the morning and getting some exercise in before work this week while it is a little cooler than later in the day.Messed up today, took much longer than expected to sort out a shockwiz and didn't get to ride until 2pm, bailed after just 30 mins at it was knocking on for 35

Got on train in Glasgow in a temperate 21 deg at 1040 this morning.....got off in Euston at 1530 in a rather hot 33 deg. An ice cold bar stop, met up with daughter who’s off to India tonight for 3 weeks and then found our way out to a very lucky online find s****y apartment in West docklands. A stonking Italian, supplemented by a few large GnTs and a walk along the riverside to Canary Wharf and back. Boys and Boss now settled in front of the telly, while I scoff a cold beer and marvel that the AC has a lovely 20 deg inside while it’s still 26 ****ing degrees outside ! 4 days of touristy family days coming, and cannae wait ! I’m here regularly with work but never for fun, so bring on the sunshine and beer 🍺

Friday was 3 hrs strimming, ear protection, goggles and heavy trousers followed by 5 hours of mowing, 500 series Briggs and straton plus tractor mower , in Sainsbury- north Cotswolds.
It's a steep physical garden at the best of times.
On Friday it was a vile sweaty thankless place to be .
Edit, my body's thermostat is faulty and anythink over 12° and I suffer.
