I put on a gilet for this morning's ride and have shut the windows in my shop.

Any other tips would be useful.

Let's look out for each other..

I've started the official countdown. 24 hours until I abruptly switch from moaning about what a shit June we're having to how it's too hot.

Our local outdoor pool is taking the sensible measure of closing for most of next week.

It's 15 degrees in the north so It's T-shirt weather while I wait for the 4 days of thunderstorms we were supposed to have.

It was high 20's here in France when I went out at 8am this morning. Supposed to be almost 40 this afternoon, so will be either in the pool or hiding with air con.

Kind of looking forward to returning home to a good old Scottish summer next week.

38c here, south of France. Not easy when working in a commercial kitchen but early finish and it is swimming pool or the river to cool down.

This is all part of Junker's revenge.
As soon as we break from the unelected imperialists in Brussels we can start having the weather we want, not what some jumped up foreigner says we have to put up with.

I got a bit giddy at the idea of warm weather arriving this week and have come to work in shorts, this is shit because..

A) It's 14c, overcast and blowy, I'm a bit cold.
B) I've got a meeting with a Solicitor at 2pm, and they're paying us, not the other way around so I have to go home lunchtime and change.

Still, tomorrow looks like a belter and I've going for a ride after work!

Cold and wet here in South Wales

but I haven't come up to ride my bike?

Was very muggy last night on my ride in the SW, lots of sweat and now my helmet pads need a wash as they stink!

Just been to the outdoor pool which is a bit busier than usual and the police are having fun ticketing the abandonned cars. It's normal August temperatures but in June. Still only 24°C inside with no air-con thanks to lots of insulation, but each hot day it'll go up a degree or two so the forecast cooling will be welcome.

I'm not sure which bit of that impresses me most. Washing helmet pads or smelling them in the first place.

A heady 16 degrees down the road in Milton Keynes. I'll remember to put my coat on when I head back to Shoe Town this evening.

Bright blue sky and a reported max of 36 here in Madrid today, I'm hiding inside with the air con. Although I'm going for a run later, which will be fun.

Friston Forest resembled a Jungle this morning, hot, wet and greasy.  No fun on a bicycle.

Thick mist and single digit temperatures on my ride too. OK lower down but up on the hills I was very glad of my lights and hi vis gilet. Could really have done with the full wind jacket though.

Hmmm only 34 C here. Sposed to be 37 or 38 (after they scaled back the forecast of 41C to something a little more respectable).
Isn't it Glastonbury this weekend? Surely that means rain and a mud fest, while we melt in the sun?

I just sat outside eating my lunch. Dunno temperature, but I fell asleep. Hope I don't do that riding home.

I just make a latte and then shake over ice in a cocktail shaker.

40 degrees in the shade yesterday here in Germany. Our kids, who have already broken up for the summer holidays, spent the whole day and evening in the pool.

38 degrees in Austria yesterday on one of my bike tours.
Luckily we found a sexy Austrian to cool things down in the Wachau valley.
