Remembered the tune, forgot the name but saw it linked to another track - classic early 90s piano trance house

Not a link to a tune, but between around 94-99 I spent most Saturdays at the Que Club in Birmingham

Same! My mate Paul used to do the VJ stuff with all the trippy lights and visuals so we'd get in for free and able to go up on stage, which was an AMAZING view - not only the crowd but of people like Dave Clarke, Speedy J, DJ Rush etc etc. Best times ever.

One night that still makes me smile was being in one of the larger back rooms watching Grooverider drop a dnb mix of Papua New Guinea omfg that was the best.

Then when the Q closed up we'd be off to the afters at West End bar for a while then to Sunny D's.

Sunday lunch anyone? ;o)

Not the greatest tune in the world, but I like the lyrics:

CJ Bolland - The Prophet

Prob should be in the Techno thread!

CJ Bolland – The Prophet

Absolute banger! Havok in Manchester used to regularly finish with that at 4am on a Friday night. I'm chewing my face off just thinking about it

Some saccharine peakiness via a Sasha 1991 tape. It's almost too much... but it's so good. Pianos forever.

Love the comments sections under these tunes, the only place on the internet where 'never read the comments' does not apply.

No idea what the terminology of all the genres is but a lot of this posted is techno to me and was the point in the mid 90s when a lot of my mates stopping going out because the music had (in our humble opinions) turned shite. Sammy B on Sunset 102, Rockshots on a thursday with a bit of Luv Dup, Dungeons in Leyton around '90. That gospel track up there is spot on. House should have a bit of funk in it, not trance. TJ had it right a couple of pages back.

I'm willing to take any criticism for diving off-piste with this because it's such an important record:

While we’re on Dave’s of old, there was also Dave Angel, his stuff got me along the top of Scotland from Thurso to JOG for the Shetland ferry, thumping away on my Walkman as I rode my Marin carrying a massive rucksack into a headwind. Will try dig out some ancient mix tapes.

Mostly listening to Carl Cox at the moment. He’s really on it this last year or so.

Edit: have it son

Spent a few crashing and glitching minutes checking the thread for these two but couldn’t see them, it was where it all started for me in the 80s.

Housemaster boyz: house nation

Edit to say: I’d love to know how to do links properly on here. Tried every which way. Obvs don’t have the dark juju skills…
