Anyone got any recommendations before I just go for the terminal Hilton?
I pity you. I hate airport hotels. I've not stayed in any of the ones at O'hare, but I'm sure most of the big chains had a hotel close by and serviced with a shuttle.
Ah it's not so bad - got a flight back from Mrs Grips' family home at 9 am so a hotel looks a wise option.
We stayed in one reasonable one and one horrible one. The airport Hilton though is only $95/night and it's right in the terminal.
well I suppose that's better than faffing about waiting for the free shuttle buses. Then realising you've no dollars to give to the guy driving the bus or for the guy that lifted you bag to reception etc. Meanwhile you try not to look them in the eye.....
I can't remember the Hotel name, but I remember the long walk back at 3am in Feb wearing only a t-shirt. I remember the heating in the room being quite ineffective. I remember leaving Kingdom Mine and the 7am meeting. Fun stuff.
