Shocking. Met Mark a few times, genuinely nice guy, very driven and ambitious.
He taught my daughter how to cut slate.

Shame, thats a loss for Cumbria. Whilst he was a controversial figure with much opposition to his zip wire plan for example, he did amazing things with the slate mine which in turn helped Cumbria Tourism.

Although I am completely against his company's plans for a zip wire off Fleetwith Pike this is very sad news and my condolences go to his family.
