[Closed] Homebrewers - neighbours complaining about the smell

Apparently not everyone appreciates the smell of boiling hops. The 'brewery' is in a garage under a block of flats so I'm trying to think of a Heath Robinson way to 'clean' the fumes before ducting them outside, using an old hob extractor hood and some flexible tumble dryer vent hose. Any bright ideas?

Fry bacon/bake bread/brew coffee at the same time?

would imagine the hydroponic/head shops have some faultless ways to remove odours before venting- as used in weed farms in warehouses /houses etc.

Stumbled across such things when looking for quiet extractor fans

blimey, quite a wealth of experience here 😀

might do the trick. TBH I'm more worried about the neighbours claiming breach of conditions or somesuch, so better to be proactive.

Fix your friends cars on the drive at the same time.

Misting nozzle up your chimney should condense out alot of volatiles. You really need an angled chimney and good sized condense trap near the base to stop the condense running back into the kettle.
ERL the car water injection people do some different sized ones.

I used to work with a lad who confided he had a pot farm in the loft. I asked if the Mrs had anything to say about it and he replied "She doesn't know"

So yes, go to the hydroponics shop.

This obviously.

How often do you brew ? I've a brewery in my garage, my neighbours probably think I'm cooking up crystal meth whenever I brew and clean lots of stainless steel vessels outside afterwards 🙂

Misting nozzle up your chimney

Fnaaar! But seriously, tell me more.

To clarify, we're in Spain. The culture of making stuff/fixing cars on the drive doesnt exist so the neighbours? get uppity. If I was stinking their flat out with fried garlic or ducatos cigarettes they wouldnt care!
