No power in the house, nothing appears to have tripped on the fuse board!
What’s wrong, how much is it going to cost? (London prices!)

Place your bets!!!!

There is a power cut. It won't cost you anything.

Phone 105 and see if there's a power cut in your area

Check the RCD, sometimes they look like they're still powered up but need a reset.

Main fuse might have popped, especially if you were drawing a particularly large current. Can be swapped for free sometimes if it is a low/out of date amperage.

The supply in the street is 3 phase, if one phase has tripped a third of the houses may have a power cut whilst the other two thirds are ok. If this is the case, it's not your fuse.

The street appears illuminated apart from us 🙁

RCDs been reset but no joy, emergency electrician en route. Ayup mtb lights being used.

Stealth edit, the far end of the road was in darkness and it was indeed a power cut!!

Our neighbour had this recently and the joint in the road had corroded which cut their power. TOOK 3 WEEKS.
Luckily they were supplied with a generator, and I helped the street out with my supply of earplugs.
