my god, i have been posting on this forum for years and i have never been insulted or read anything that could possibly be worth banning anyone for, is it not what the internet was created for for people to insult each other with their opinions on things with out having to meet each other? the opinion of one will not be the opinion of all the others, and even if "he" is back should you not get a grip on reality and realise that some people on here will just want to get at you to the point where you want to tell them to **** off and if that is the case shouldn't you just get out and ride instead of spending all your time on the internet?????

Whatever the reason for RudePaddedBrain's exile, the forum is a better place without him. He was nothing more than an irritating pecksniffian bed-wetter whose ill-informed and completely pointless filibusting posts paralised many a good thread.

Let's hope that if he has returned, his 40-days-and-40-nights have made him a little more tolerable.

I can't say that I miss him though I'd question whether he really deserved banning though I can equally understand why the STW mods got fed up with him...

The thing that I found frustrating was that if you turned his own arguments on himself (eg his complaints about the Charge fixie vid where they rode close to pedestrians, after he'd posted about his London ride where they'd ridden through pedestrians) which was frequently easy to do since he was far from consistent in his views then he'd just throw his toys out of the pram and probably call you a racist or similar.

Why do members change their usernames? I know I'll have the p**s taken for asking, but it's confusing at times, and my northern monkey brain cant always keep up.

I think people like to reinvent themselves. Funnily enough, on another forum I use, posters won't be entertained unless they post under their real name or have it listed in their profile.

It kind of keeps a lid on nameless keyboard warriors making silly threats etc.
