We specifically use ceramic knives, that cut the products made, but not skin, for safety. He brought a snap blade knife that could have cut himself badly, snapped all over the place and got in food safe products. This despite the policy being clearly and baldly spelled out from the day he started. So he was done.
As for the assertion that walking into another job indicates that giving him a cuddle is a better idea, I think that indicates that bus companies should check and should regulate and should care how good or bad drivers are before they give them a job.

You've got to go through the channels I'm afraid. It's wrong you got hit and ultimately that's it. Just be honest about your equipment and injuries in your claim. That's all that is fair.
