Anyone help.
Trying to open some data from a customer in .stp format. I am using CATIA V5 but whenver it converts when it opens there is nothing in the file. This is despite the file size being 4mb. I have checked the conversion reports in the CATreport folder and it shows that nothing converts. Is this an issue with my converter or the file it self?

There's two formats (207 and 214 IIRC) - I've never found that it makes a difference (Solidworks here) but Catia might be sensitive.
Try downloading a free STEP viewer and see if that thinks there's anything in the file?
