[Closed] help me find.... a tea bag transport system

Transorting my teabag isn't an issue, I put one inside my Morrison's On-the-go flask, and add hot water from the whizzy tap at work. Still drinking it at 2.30, six and a half hours later.

Anyway, never mind all that.

What are you doing drinking tea bags? Are you some sort of commoner? This is STW, we don't have tea bags, we have whiny middle-class cockbags. Have a word with yourself.

Also, I don't believe for a moment that "Stoner" will have any difficulty in transporting around a small amount of dried leaves.

Is disappoint.

Aww…... don't be disappointed in us Cougar? - we do try hard - in fact i'd say i'm one of the ****iest cockbags about when it comes to how i like specific things and my methods of preparation - i'm so far removed from being middle class though….lowly council house scum 🙁 ….oh to dream….to dare aspire to be middle class…one day…one day perhaps…..

Some days when i know i'll be working flat out without any breaks for 8hrs+ i take my Bodum mini cafetiere/flask thingy with 30g of fresh ground coffee left over from my morning grind for my double espresso, same thing as this below,

[img] [/img]

Other days i take my travel mug with either a loose scoop of Brodies strong breakfast blend tea, although the past few weeks i have taking my new Alpkit Kelvin travel mug (it's titanium you know - so there!) , and sometimes i take one of my 3 Ginger teabags (as above) and a thumb sized lump of fresh cut ginger and a baggie of fresh cayenne pepper, I bash the ginger into submission in the bottom of the Kelvin mug before i add the teabag, pepper and boiling water (i eat a helluva lot of fresh ginger - it seems to help alleviate my raynauds).

If that doesn't qualify for admission into the cockbag club then i am at a complete loss over what to do next.

PS - if we gain admission to the club do we get a special "cockbag" moniker after our our forum name?,

Loose tea would clog my flask, and I really can't be arsed to fanny around brewing a pot of tea to fill my flask, that would take as long as it takes me to walk to work!
I use pure Green Tea bags, though, so there! 😛

Guy I work with is a tea drinker, after emptying his business card box to light the Kelly Kettle, he now uses that to keep the tea bags in. Can squash about a fortnight's worth in because he doesn't do fancy tea, just builders. Do have a couple of emergency tea bags tucked into the strap on the sun visor in the Land Rover too.

Durhambiker - my wife is very disappointed that the Ringtons vans don't come down to Mid Wales and has to rely on aid parcels from relatives.

in a plastic bag they tend to get knackered/crushed/ravaged

really? a creased teabag ruins the flavour?

Pfft. Stop mucking about and do it elegantly (if maybe a little cumbersome for travel)

Worth checking the soopermarkets out as sometimes Twinings do a little plastic tea bag holder doodah. Think we had one, will have a look later when I'm home.

Otherwise, what about a Coleman's Mustard tin?

Opened this thread expecting some sort of joke. Really you can't figure out how to carry teabags?

Bizarrely, somewhere I actually have a twinings tea bag holder. 😯

Holds about 3 bags, unfortunately I have no idea where it came from or where it is. If I come across it I'll post it on.

timber: I think a couple of new franchisees have started up in South Wales, so maybe we'll spread further North at some point. If I could have my own way (hah not likely, the wife will never leave Durham) I'd hand my notice in, then buy the rights to a franchise and move back to Mid Wales. If it ever becomes a reality, I'll let ya know 😉

Stoner, I simply can't stand by and let you tolerate either substandard tea, or a bulky pack.
Email me in profile with your address details and I will personally post you a Yorkshire Tea Sample pack with 10 of our finest tea bags.
Perfect for a short break away from home.
If Carol in our staff shop is feeling in the mood I may even throw in an surprise extra...no promises.

Don't listen to CHB. Only one place to go for your earl grey and that is Twinings. Sorry CHB but you have to admit defeat on specialist teas 🙂

Carol and her surprise extras.

Don't be so disgusting. Carol's just well versed in tea-bagging.

I dunno, this place. 🙄

fine contributions from you all. Even a cameo grumble from Drac for that fuller flavoured STW thread.

I am however intrigued by johnj2000's "C24"

Well the C51 gives us the traditional English square teabag, simp,e to use, simple to store and some might say gives a larger surface area for brewing. The C24 is more common in Europe but has infiltrated the uk stores over the past few years. This format offers, in some people's opinion, a more premium feel due to the individually wrapped bags and the string and tag which offer a more interactive brewing experience.

I concur. Long live the c24. And I'm afraid, CHB, despite Carol's obvious charms (Thanks for the photos BTW) I will never be a Yorkshire tea kind of chap.

Bugger that. I find it really annoying. Niminypiminy little strings on the teabags FFS.
And more packaging=more waste.
Ooh, I can't tell you how much this winds me up!

They won't have it any other way in some markets, personally I agree with you but I am but a UK consumer brought up with the humble square tea bag

Well who would have thought it! You ask for tea on STW and you get employees from two UK companies offering to help!
Disappointed in Stoner, always thought of him being a chap of taste and discernment. 😉

I too am astonished at the high tea company employee count in here. Now, is there anyone who can sort out my luxury sports car problem?

If John is spending that much on IMA machines (made in Bologna), then he might be able to get you a deal on a cheap Italian sports car. However like his teabags, it probably comes with strings attached. [I'll get my own coat].
