Buy him a proper God Dad. Although custard and jumping sounds good to me...

And I can never decide what get my nephew. The best thing I gave him was my login to Prime so he can watch Grand Tour.

Does he like Thomas the Tank engine....

Sweajnr is coming up for 3 and the list of engines he'd like is quite substantial... it's almost as if the owners know this and keep on adding characters so it's impossible for a reasonable parent to keep up without buying an engine a month. 👿

Does he have a sibling? If so, then a mini foosball table.

My 3 year old lad is mad on Thomas, especially the Track Master stuff.

Tractors are good also.

12 cans of redbull, a kilo bag of chocolate-coated coffee beans and a stop watch? 😈
To be serious for a moment, a wooden train set and a bunch of heavyweight cardboard boxes; kids can and will play for hours with empty boxes, all about imagination, innit.
😀

What you want is a BIG plastic tractor that when you push the exhaust (the type that comes out of the top of the engine), it makes a really loud sound and then brmm brmm's across the floor, making a loud screeching sound as it stops, with the sound of air brakes to finish off. It wasn't a particularly amazing present but I'd like to know somebody else is feeling the pain of that particular model. 😆

EDIT: Wooden train set is always a good shout (if he likes trains). Easy for his folks to add-on if he likes it.

A paddling pool, 25 gallons of custard and a big step ladder.

Custard jumping*

*Due to custard being a non newtonian fluid this is probably quite a bad idea for a 3 year old.

What he really needs is a 14 inch Islabike, most probably in red, ideally located about 5 streets away....

Is all I'm saying....

Sam, won't I offend his dad if I buy him his first bike? Isn't that what dads always want to do?

A surprise hit for my 3 year old at Christmas was a marble run. Search for Galt Marble Run on Amazon. He absolutely loves it and I've enjoyed building different layouts with him.

Spiderman muscle costume seems popular with the 3 and 4 y olds in my lads class.

EDIT: Marble runs are popular in my house as are hot wheels track layouts.
