Wife who is not a runner did a 10k in Glasgow this morning. A good effort all round, but it has left huge and bloody blisters on the souls of her feet. Anyone on her medical with tips, or any runners advise on how best to care for them in the next day or so? Thanks.

Feet up. Don't be tempted to burst them - if they're bloody, they'll be painful as bejeesus. Just let them dry up and the skin will fall off when healed up after a few days.
Poor thing though - they're not fun.
And well done to her for doing it. Did the Bristol 10k myself this morning - I love seeing all the people who haven't run any race before giving it a go - fair dues to them. Bugger what time you run it in, just finishing is good enough for me.
