I have one of these which was recently crash damaged. I have the option of a like for like replacement under the crash replacement scheme, for a reasonable price.
I like this model as it is comfortable, fits well, has good ventilation and has a go pro/light mount.
Given that i'm not easily going to be able to try on any alternatives at the minute I should probably just get another one of the same, but curiosity has gotten the better of me.
Has anyone else had one of these to be able to recommend me an alternative with a similar fit?
KASK Rex is a great helmet. Sadly for me, I was inbetween sizing, the Medium was too tight, but the Large was a bit baggy. If it had fit me better, I'd still be using one.
So if it fits you well, I'd buy another...
I'm now on a Smith Forefront 2, and it's probably the best fitting helmet I've ever had, but I do have quite a prolonged oval head shape so I'm not typical of most.
Just get another Kask Rex, I ordered several helmets from an online shop and it was the nicest fit and lightest feel on my head. Equally I have found there aftercare really good when needing new padding, would buy another without hesitation.
Agree with posters above. Its a very good helmet and if it was the right shape for your head then get another one.
Any Rex owners tried the Kask road helmets? I love my Rex so was thinking I'd try Kask for the road too.
Rex owner here.
Great lid and very comfy but being a baldy I get sweat pissing out the front of it. I must run hot.
Love the kask rex, really comfy. The fit is the same as the kask road bike helmets. I have a kask mojito that feels a similar fit
Thanks for everyone's replies.
Think i'll get another Rex then.
I use a Buff headband to help soak up the forehead sweat. Works a treat.
