Any suggestions?
I have need of new boiler. Direct replacement, in same hallway location. I do need a larger gas pipe supply (3m away in accessible floor void). House is 3bed semi, doesn't need huge boiler.
One quote for Baxi DuoTec 28 (£2.6k), three other plumbers not returned calls to ask for a price.
I know a central heating installer based in BOness. Email me for his details. Very good technician - he is both a friend and has done boiler installs for me
That's a £786 boiler, add in flue kit and some pipe and fittings probably £900-£1000 in total. Shouldn't take more than a day to fit and test/commission. Your quote seems pricey.
It is pricey - even add £100 for new gas supply pipe and £68 for flue extension.
I don't need a flush, most rads are new, the others I will replace.
£900odd gets me boiler, magnaclean doofer and chemicals.
