moved in ~2wks ago to a house with a conservatory. No radiator ftted hence no surprise its frikin cold. I know its more of a spring / summer thing but i want to sit and read my sunday papers!
there is a radiator in the adjacent kitchen <3m away.
would it be easy enough to install an additional radiator, how do you know if the existing boiler can take this and what is a ball park figure??
A conservatory will never feel warm!
How about one of those electric halogen heaters, you can get freestanding patio heater style ones or smaller stand/wall mounted. Flick it on and instant heat directed at you.

You need blinds as well as a heater
Give or take 100 quid for a rad, trv and pipework etc . Then another 100 to be fitted, depending upon difficulty etc could be more or less

heats in winter, cools in summer. Coats not much more than a radiator, with more functionality, and roughly same cost to run as a radiator.
will be difficult to get it warm enough for all year round use. also a radiator will not comply with building regs unless you can control it totally idependant of the rest of the heating, but most people will not bother. if you are in the south east I can advise you more, especially if you are half competent then you can do most of it yourself.
Second the air con. Most nowadays will do heat and cold. That combined with an electric underfloor heater will work a treat. You're talking a big difference in cost though.
Air con unit starts around 300, plus another 1-200 for fitting. Under floor heating kit is not dear, 100 quid will get you a decent size one. Then you'd have to re-tile, approx 25 per sq meter, plus cost of tiles. More if you choose natural stone etc
My folks just continued the insulation board underneath their solar collectors, round the rest of the conservatory roof. Cover it with a suitable fabric and better than blinds. Works summer and winter. No need to be hoovering up insects either.
