I currently only have one HDMI cable in the wall to the TV.
Virgin media box connects to the Xbox one and that connects to an auto switch HDMI hub (also in the wall )
PS3 is also connected to the auto switch, when switched on it over rides the xbox and is displayed on the TV.
Now have a Android media player in place of the PS3 that when on switched off still activates the auto switch.
Any recommendations for a replacement hub. Will a non auto switch solve this issue and if so can you get a wifi/bluetooth remote that would allow the hub to remain in the wall.
You can normally change the way that the HDMI signals are sent to auto change the channel. Potentially turn that off on the Android?
Otherwise it's a case of a manual switcher.

Look for HDMI-CEC and disable it.
