It really is - a bus trip across town takes longer than a flight to space!

Not even the first commercial passenger space flight and it's been covered live on BBC.

The ship reminds me of an old TV show about a junkyard spaceship I think it must have been Salvage 1

Killing Captain Kirk in your midlife knob-rocket would be the ultimate buzz for any billionaire.

How can it look so "normal", yet so unreal? I suppose that's why it looks unreal. Like a TV science fiction series with a low budget for props and effects.

Are they stamping the ground flat ready for the old man to walk in it?

I was wondering what they keep tugging on that rope. Does it open the door?

Yep you can feel how moved he is. How crap would it have been if he’d got off and just said “yeah it was alright”?

“ Everybody in the world needs to do this," the Canadian actor told Mr Bezos after landing back on Earth. "It was unbelievable."
In tears, he added: "What you have given me is the most profound experience. I'm so filled with emotion about what just happened. I hope I never recover from this. I hope I can retain what I feel now. I don't want to lose it."

Sounds like he’s just dropped acid for the first time, though I expect that moment was decades ago, and repeated often.

Jeff Bezos is planning on being able to get you into space for less than $5,000. However, once there you'll find out how much he wants to bring you back.

Fair play to Bezo - at least he has made his design open source:

Lauren Laverne did a playlist this morning on BBC 6Music about the Shat in Space, but somehow *didn't* play Shatner doing Rocketman.

But seriously, Shatner 'singing' Rocketman: laugh? I nearly Shat...
