I haven't a clue what the difference is - I think I've got a cold but the Mrs says I've got hayfever, but I don't think I get that; can you get it if you've never had it before?
Anyway, I've a lethargic feeling, runny nose, loads of brown mucous at the back of my throat and a scratchy throat. My chest's a bit tight too.

Sounds like a cold.

Take a hay fever pill and see if it dries up. If it doesn't, it's a cold

Sneezing? Itchy eyes? Sounds more like a cold to me.
