Not sure if this has been done on here but we have now lost Barry Hines.
Brilliant author.
Did a lot more than just Threads and Kes.

I watched Threads the other day - still very very bleak. I read Kestrel for a Knave for my o level ahem years ago a still read it every couple of years.

Big loss read both those books as a teenager.
