We've been looking at sofas, looking at local shops to national chains, and the only one that we have seen that we like so far is from Harveys. Now it still wont be cheap at £2,700 but I wouldn't normaly buy sofa's from the likes of Harevys/DFS.
Are they still utter sh!te or is the quality of Harveys sofas ok these days?

My step dad is an upholsterer and says steer clear overpriced / poor quality and customer service - he should know he has had to repair enough of them! Hope that helps
Have you tried Multiyork? (though designs are mostly 'traditional' - we live in a Victorian semi!)
Only ask 'cos we got two of theirs from one of their clearance centres - We only found out about the clearance places when we were in a store and the guys were taking out stuff marked 'ex-display' - so we asked where it was going 😀 Prices were great and we were lucky enough to find what we wanted with covers to suit our decor!
Seem pretty well made - especially if you believe the video promo stuff in the showrooms....
Try these people out. They are based in south Wales. Me and the GF went down from Preston in Lancs and picked out the sofa. The staff are very helpful and the sofa is first rate. Even driving down and getting a 3seater sofa and chair both made from leather delivered, we still save a fortune. We got two hand made 2 seaters for £450 locally. If you live near us (North Wales) drop me an email and I'll let you know where ours came from. Other than that sofasofa come highly recommended.
PS £2700 on a sofa ? get a grip !
