In a couple of hours time I'm going to my mates extremely Irish mum's funeral 🙁
She was the embodiment of "Irish hospitality". If I went round there when we were kids she always felt the need to cook me a meal......and "no thanks Mrs Keaney, I'm fine" was never an acceptable answer.....bless her.
I think burying her on St. Patrick's Day is a mistake imo, every St. Patrick's Day from now on, whilst he is celebrating, he will have the constant reminder - I would have gone for a few days before or after. Still, that's his decision.
