The village scenes in Stardust were shot in Castle Combe, where Dr Dolittle was also filmed. Neil Gaiman described the village as being close to Bath and the road to Bristol and London, which is where Castle Combe is situated.
Someone mentioned Spirited Away, to which I can add My Neighbour Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service and Porko Rosso, all Myazaki films, and just wonderful to watch. ...Totoro is one of my all time favourites, and highly recommended.
Amelie and Up are also fabulous, although the first fifteen minutes of Up will have you weeping into your hankie, real lump-in-the-throat stuff. Then it gets very funny.

+1 for the hangover, if you dont finish watching that with a smile on your face, then you are wrong.
