And only now have got over it... is it normal to not have any feelings about it?? 13 years with the same company has kind of jaded me...

I resigned in sept 09.

I used to change jobs more often that some of the guys on here change bikes.
Never felt i owe anything to a company sometimes sad to miss the people i worked with but the ones that were good friends remained friends.

don't feel bad about it at all - look after yourself and do what you want to do - not for the company. Once you've gone, you'd be wondering why you didn't do it earlier
